I'm popping in super quick to share a little banner that I just finished this evening. I'm feeling very prepared with Thanksgiving more than a week away. Normally I would finish something like this the night before, but technically it has been on my To Do List for over a year. Better late than never though, right?
Target didn't have any glitter paper in the color I wanted for this banner, so I had to resort to glitterizing my own letters. I chose to just outline them in glitter because it took forever already. It was not my favorite part.
Plus, it was super messy.
And yes, that's because I'm a disaster when I create, but I don't like to clean as I go. I like to destroy and create side by side.
I'm not cleaning it up until this weekend either. In fact, I'm going to bed right now.
But first, I wanted to tell you that I made two of these. One for me, and one for one of you lucky readers out there. I'm giving you until Thursday evening at 9:00 p.m. mountain time (as in Idaho), to leave a comment telling me what you are thankful for.
I promise to get it mailed out to you by Saturday at the latest. That way you'll have it in time for the big day. Good luck, Peeps!
LOL, "glitterizing". I'd take that banner off your hands. I had great expectations for decorating for the Thanksgiving holiday but life has gotten in the way this year. I could use something festive!
ReplyDeleteYay, I get to be first :) I am grateful for my crazy bunch of hooligans I get to call my children. They drive me to the brink sometimes, but at the end of the day (usually a really L O N G day) I am so grateful I get to share the world with them. And I'm not trying to be shameless, or score brownie points (though I would not be sad if I won your banner lol), but I have to tell you thanks for all of your amazing ideas and talents you are so willing to share. I'm a better mom because of it, so thanks chica :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously so beyond cute! I would love to win it!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for so many things, but I would have to say that tonight I am most thankful for my family. Specifically, my husband! He seriously puts us first ALWAYS! Plus, I wouldn't have my two boys without him! hehe :)
Thanks for the chance to win the seriously cute banner!

Love the banner! I am thankful for supportive family and friends!
ReplyDeleteI love your banner and would love to win one for myself! I have so much to be thankful for! The top one on my list is...I am thankful that we have a God that knows us each and everyone, personally, and He really does care for us. He is with us always in every situation we may find ourselves. All we have to do is simply believe in Him and trust Him with our lives.

I wish I had seen this post about a month ago! I had to glitter some letters. I never thought about using a paint pan! I am still sweeping up blue glitter!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for the health of my family. Even though my daughter has severe allergies, I am thankful that it isn't anything worse. I remind myself daily that I could have a child much sicker than she is. God never gives us more than we can handle!
I am thankful for bloggers like you who are willing to share their talents with the rest of the world(is that totally brown nosing?) It really is true and I am grateful for you:)

ReplyDeleteI am thankful to my parents. I would not be the wife, mother or friend that I am today without the love and guidance they have given me. I am so thankful for the example they have set for me and for my children as well. I always know that I have their unconditional love and support which means the world to me. I am proud to call them my parents and I thank Heavenly Father for them everyday.
ReplyDeleteI am so very thankful for so many things and people. I'm just feeling so very blessed because our family has a roof over our heads, we are employed and we have food to eat, when so many are going without. I'm blessed to have a wonderful husband and two, healthy, smart, fun children...for that I am thankful.

as always I love your crafty craft! I loved the Halloween one too! I am thankful for so many things. The number 1 for me is having a God who loves me and gives me everything I need, not always everything I want. This year has been rough on our family for so many reasons, but the one thing we still have through it all is each other. I am more grateful for the blessings I have this year than I probably ever have been in my entire life. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families.
