Cinnamon Candy Cider
Do these little red hots look familiar to you? I used to eat them as a kid, and although I rarely use them when decorating cookies, I do use them in my Valentine drink.
For my Winter Crop, I got my croppers settled in with this hot drink because it was dang cold outside. And I wanted to get them all cozy and ready to crank out the pages.
The red hots can be found in the baking isle at your grocery store, with the candy sprinkles and cake decorating paraphernalia.
Every sugar junkie's dream.
Anyway, all you do is melt a cup of these hot little mamas in a gallon of apple cider and you're all set.
Here's the recipe card. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteSuch cute cards you always make, girl. I really don't care much for the cinnamon, but the apple cider is good, maybe with only a few red hots. Thanks!

Seriously? That's all?? Almost too easy to be true and sounds sooo yummy. I wonder if it would work with Hot Tamales. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh thank you!!! I remeber my mom making us this drink after school in Februarys and I forgot all about it until now. I am running to Albertsons here in 2 seconds and I am going to pick up some red hots so I can pass on the tradtion to my little one. Again, thanks for the reminder of days gone by!

ReplyDeleteHi Jill! I don't mind at all you using the pictures. I hope you can get them. Lately when I double click on the pictures I can't get them to go big. I don't know what is wrong. Let me know if it doesn't work and we can figure out another way.
