Beach Layouts . . . How Unfitting
As 2008 nears its end, I'm realizing how much of my pictures I have yet to deal with. They are a jumbled mess on my hard drive, and my goal for '08 was to stay on top of them and scrapbook our memories as they happened.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. That was relatively easy to say anyway. I'm not going to beat myself up too much though, because I just counted and I have 48 12x12 layouts completed.
I just have too many pictures.
This particular batch of pictures is from our trip to California last summer, and our visits to Oceanside Beach.
These pictures are a complete 180 degrees from the kind of weather we are experiencing right now in Idaho. We are getting slammed with snow and wind, and it looks quite wintry outside.
I'm certainly not complaining about the weather, just making note of the contrast. I love having a white Christmas, even if it does mean shoveling twice a day and maybe being housebound.
I love that word, housebound. It's so cozy and sedentary. It means I can scrapbook, read, watch movies, cross stitch, blog, whatever, and not feel guilty about it. That's the best part. The guilt-free aspect.
Today I indulged myself and did a little digi scrapping, but not until I got my Christmas cards all ready to send out.
I may have to snow shoe my way to the mailbox tomorrow, but by dang-it, they're goin' out.
Bring on the snow, I'm ready for it.
great layouts... it is again snowing here in MN and I have to go to the grocery story.. I HAVE to...lol... oh well... Have a nice homebound day!
ReplyDeleteI totally wouldn't be hard on yourself about the layouts! I haven't even started this years!! I usually wait until the end of the year to do it all at once anyway. And since we are snowbound, snowcaptive, snowoverloaded, I am going to do it over the Christmas break:-)
ReplyDeleteNice pages. You are giving me lots of ideas. I am trying to get mine done...from 07! LOL! My poor son's entire life is on the computer. Enjoy the snow I know I am!
ReplyDeleteGreat pages. I too love having a white Christmas. I love being inside a cozy house and watching it blizzard outside. There is something exciting to me about being snowed in as long as I don't need to go anywhere. Anyway these pages brought back great memories of the warmth of the beach and the sun. So cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat layouts, love all of the beach pictures...wish I was there!!
ReplyDeleteHope you and your family have a wonderful holiday, Merry Christmas Jill!!!
Your photos came out great! I can understand why you would like to be snowed in! We don't get snowed in, but we do have tropical storms that flood our road. It's fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to finding snow on our Christmas trip!
Stay warm!
If you were my neighbor in TEXAS, you could almost BE at the beach today here......kind of warm and breezy.....then cooled off a little bit tonight. Christmas Day is supposed to be in the 70's.....I think being snowed in for a day or two or three would be ok....relax and enjoy!!
