So, remember my pictures that I hung earlier this week? Well, I've decided to tweak them a bit.
Big surprise, I know.
Once I opened my big trap and said that I thought the font was too small on the vinyl quote, I just couldn't stop thinking about it.
It was bugging me.
Yeah, I know I said "I'm going to overlook it for now." Well, the truth is that I'm incapable of overlooking it. In fact, I'm obsessing about it.
It just doesn't look right and I can't stop thinking about it.
So I went to Robert's today and bought a roll of vinyl. Then I called up Girl Genius, Janae, and asked her if she would do the quote for me on her ginormous Cricut. She said she would, but let me tell you, she didn't sound excited about it. I'm sure she only agreed because I have that Photo Tape she needs.
She's a Photo Tape junkie and I'm her pusher.
I'm okay with that though. It gets me what I need, and I need her skills.
So, you're probably wondering when the heck I'm going to explain the big S at the beginning of this post. Okay, that's next.
I was at Robert's anyway, and I thought "Hey, I could put an S on my picture wall and it would go perfectly if I put it in the middle." It's going to look nifty once Girl Genius deals with my font issues.
So I bought this S, and it was white to begin with so I painted the edges black and Modge Podged some spiffy scrapbook paper over the top and added some ribbon. I like how it turned out. It's plain but still pretty.
I also had the two empty frames to deal with, so I reworked some of my favorite layouts to fit into my frames.
The first one is Zoe Bug's T-Ball pictures. These were on my 2008 calendar and I love them, so I'm excited that they are going to be on my wall now.
The last frame will get these pictures of Stinkerbell. I love tulips and I love these pictures. All the planets were aligned when I took these and it was an overcast day, so I got some good pictures.
Oh yeah, I put the black borders around the edges of these pictures because those are the parts that won't show in the frame because the glass opening is slightly smaller than the picture opening. I didn't want to lose any of my picture, so I adjusted it to fit. I picked black because the frame is black, so if any peeks through, it won't be noticeable.
And that's my fix. I won't be able to show you the end result until next week or later, because my pictures won't be back until then. Stay tuned.
I LOVE that S...it looks GREAT...amazing what some scrapbook paper and ribbons will do isn't it. I can't wait to see the new arrangement on the wall. The scrapbook pages are fabulous as always!!
