Where is your Coat?

We're only into the second week of school and already we're losing things. When I had just one kid in school, it was bad enough, but now I have to make sure two people bring all the things home that they left with that morning. It's making me a little crazy.


So, remember my backpack ID tags? Well these babies are going on the backpacks with the ID tags. They're little checklists for the girls to run through to make sure they have everything they're supposed to have when going to and from school.


You're laughing. I can hear you. You might be thinking that no kid is going to remember to look at the check list, or worse yet, they'll accidentally cut them off because they're so dorky, but I have evidence that makes me think otherwise.


See look. My kids are making their own little checklists already. This is Thing 1's. Isn't it cute? It makes my heart sing to see my little munchkins copying me.


In my own defense, it has been years since I actually had things like "get up" on my to do lists, but is it not logical? You have to start your day somewhere, and surely getting up is a good place to start.

Help with crop, clean-up basement
Take a shower
Do flash cards
Go to bed


She's so funny. No, she will not be cleaning all day for my crop tomorrow night. She'll be doing a lot of piddling and a lot of playing, trust me. Sometimes those little monsters make me look like such a slave driver.
