Making Progress

Here are a couple layouts using my February pictures. I am loving the digital scrapbooking. There's no mess and there are so many free digital papers and elements on the web. My favorite place for free stuff is Ikea Goddess.

The thing I like most about digital though is the UNDO button. It's my friend. I love that button. I can try things I never would have done in traditional scrapbooking, because I know that if I don't like the way it looks I can just hit the magic button and it's gone.

I didn't even know digital scrapbooking existed until about a year and a half ago. I didn't think I would really like it because I like the whole tactile experience that I get from traditional scrapbooking. I gave it a try though, and I'm hooked. Now, what to do with all my paper and embellishments? I started yet another craft to use that stuff up--cardmaking. There just is not enough time in the day to do all the things I want to do.

Here is a layout I did of the girls' Valentine cards. I made them using my digital scrapbooking program and it was so much fun. The pictures of Thing 2 on the bottom are some of the many I took trying to get the perfect picture for her card. As you can see, she started getting quite irritated with me towards the end. Sorry sweetie.

I've also been using digital scrapbooking to make invitations. Now that is neat. I'll post some of those soon, but let me tell you, digital invitations are a big timesaver. Plus it's cheaper because I upload them to my favorite photo center and have them printed as 4x6 prints for $.11 each. You can't beat that.
