White Chocolate Popcorn

Today I want to share a super simple recipe for White Chocolate Popcorn that, I promise you, will make you famous. Or at least get you noticed. Just don't make it on a hot day, or maybe never in Texas would be a good rule of thumb.

Unless you're in air conditioning, then it would probably be okay.

I say this because the magical coating will get all melty and then it'll get all over your hands, which means you'll have to lick it off, and I know you wouldn't do that.

That would be indelicate.

Anyway, I got this recipe from Melanie-Who-I-Almost-Killed-With-Pie, and she was kind enough to share it with me, even after her near death experience at my house. Oopsie.

Okay, so here's what you need to make this stuff: 1 bag of microwave popcorn and 3 squares off a brick of almond bark. Yes, I know, it's called White Chocolate Popcorn, but I use the words "white chocolate" loosely. It's really just man made chemicals strung together to create a magical experience.

Nothing sinister, just magic.

The first step is to pop the popcorn and pour it into a bowl. Be sure to remove any unpopped kernals.

Then melt the magical ingredient in the microwave and then gently pour it over the popcorn and mix thoroughly, tossing to coat.

Finally, dump the popcorn out onto waxed paper and let it air dry. This is the hardest part. My theory is that it is impossible to let it dry completely without eating at least half of it. I've tested it over and over again, and Every. Single. Time. I cannot leave it alone.

But that's just me. No self control, you know.

Here's the recipe card, not that you need it.

    NOW.

But I have no white chocolate in the house.

And I'm already in my Jammies....

  3. First of all, I love the story of Melanie who you almost killed with pie, and I'm grateful for you that she still comes over, despite the near death experience. Mostly because white chocolate popcorn should not be eaten alone...that could be dangerous. Anyway, a thought from someone who worked at a popcorn place that made this: A great way to get the popcorn completely coated (and get the kids involved) is to pour the popcorn and chocolate into a large ziploc baggy and shake. Fun for everyone!

  8. White Chocolate popcorn is yummy! But if you want to make it even better add in a couple of handfuls of peanuts. Then when it's all cooled mix it together with some candy corn. It's like fall in a bowl.

  9. Of course we NEED the recipe card because it's so dang cute! I think I've got some almond bark in my cupboard right now & we ALWAYS have popcorn! Scrumptious! I hope school has been going well. Loved the Beaded Lanyard, too & I think you definitely need one to go with each season, if not each outfit! :) Happy Eating! Erin

  11. Are you kidding?! I absolutely, positively NEED the recipe card!! I am totally addicted to your recipes cards! In fact, I need it even more now since I've been such a slacker and haven't even re-installed my Creative Memories software onto my piece of, uh I mean, recycled computer yet so that I can get back to making my own cards again. Oh well, yours are so much better anyway! Help, I'm having withdrawals... I need your super cute cards!
